On July 2, 2020, at the invitation of Professor Feng Shi, the State Key Laboratory of Chemical Resource Engineering, Professor Yuanjin Zhao made a wonderful online academic report to our teachers and students at the Tencent Meeting.
In the report of Bioinspired organs-on-chips, Professor Yuanjin Zhao, firstly introduced the application of microfluidics and functional biomaterials. Then, scaffold biomaterials for liver-on a-chip, responsive biomaterials for heart-on-a-chip and microfluidic barcode particles for bioassays were introduced in detail. As an emerging hot research field, the main goal of organs-on-chips is to simulate the environment of organi**s for cell, tissue and organ culture, and to study and control the biological behavior of cells in vitro culture, so as to realize organ transplantation and drug evaluation that can simulate the environment of organi**s. In recent years, the research group of Professor Yuanjin Zhao has conducted in-depth research on the relationship between structure and function of biomedical materials, and prepared a series of biomaterials with structure and function specificity by using microfluidic technology.
At the end of the report, teachers and students have in-depth communications with Professor Yuanjin Zhao in different directions.
